Comfort Panel – D

Comfort Panel-D is a high-performance, two-component rigid polyurethane foam system engineered specifically for insulated garage door panels, where thermal efficiency is the deciding factor. Its closed-cell structure delivers a high R-value per inch, helping fabricators meet rising energy-efficiency expectations without adding panel thickness. The system cures to a tight, uniform cell matrix that bonds aggressively to steel and composite facers, resists shrinkage and bowing over the life of the door, and holds its insulating value through repeated thermal cycling.

Comfort Panel-D is formulated for processing on both low and high-pressure dispensing equipment, giving fabricators flexibility across production lines. It is produced with a next-generation HFO blowing agent that is non-ozone-depleting and offers a low global warming potential, supporting compliance with current environmental regulations while maximizing thermal output.

Key Features & Benefits for Panel Production

  • Excellent Adhesion & Compatibility: Creates a powerful, lasting bond with a wide range of facing materials, including steel, aluminum, OSB, and FRP, ensuring superior panel integrity and preventing delamination.
  • Superior Flowability & Uniform Density: Engineered for excellent flow characteristics, ensuring the foam fills every part of the mould, even in large or complex panel designs, resulting in a consistent density and reliable performance.
  • High Thermal Performance: The resulting closed-cell foam structure provides a very low thermal conductivity, enabling the production of thin, lightweight panels with exceptional insulation (high R-value) properties.
  • Outstanding Dimensional Stability: Cures into a rigid, thermoset polymer that resists shrinking and warping over a wide range of temperatures, guaranteeing the long-term flatness and integrity of the finished panel.
  • Environmentally Responsible Formulation: Developed with an environmentally friendly blowing agent, Comfort Panel-D has zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and a low Global Warming Potential (GWP), helping you meet sustainability goals.
  • Optimized for Discontinuous Lines: The predictable reaction profile and cure time are specifically tailored for discontinuous panel production, allowing for efficient demolding times and increased production throughput.
